Heavy-Duty Pipe for a High-Stakes Corridor
In 2024, Empire supplied 135 metres of CP&P DN1200 OD1480 Reinforced Concrete Jacking Pipe (RCP), engineered to meet the demands of trenchless installation beneath an active and rapidly evolving construction corridor. The pipe's robust specification ensured it could withstand the jacking loads and ground conditions associated with installation in support of major road and metro infrastructure.
"Projects tied to nationally significant transport programs leave no room for compromise on pipe performance, and CP&P Reinforced Concrete Jacking Pipe is built to meet exactly that standard."
An Active Construction Environment
The Bringelly works form part of a broader Transport for NSW program delivering four road projects to provide access to future Sydney Metro construction sites. The pipeline supports Transport for NSW's program connecting Sydney's motorway network and the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport. WRDT required a trenchless solution to minimise disruption while maintaining the project schedule. Bothar Boring installed the jacking pipe with minimal challenges and in line with project requirements.
Built on Reliability and Precision
Throughout the project, Empire worked closely with the project team to ensure pipe specifications aligned with the tunnelling methodology and delivery schedule. The successful delivery of this trenchless section is a testament to the value of an experienced supply partner on projects where schedule certainty is critical. The Bringelly Pipeline is one of several projects Empire has supported in the Greater Western Sydney growth corridor.
