GRP with Pre-Fabricated Bends for a Complex Alignment

Empire supplied 360 metres of DN300 BOSSPIPE™ Centrifugally Cast GRP (CC-GRP) Jacking Pipe along with pre-fabricated bends produced to match the project's specific alignment geometry. The bends allowed the pipeline to follow the required route without additional shafts. DN300 CC-GRP pipe offers the structural stiffness required for microtunnelled installation and strong resistance to the corrosive conditions common in sewer service environments.

Works were completed using microtunnelling, suited to the dense residential and commercial environment where surface disruption needed to be minimised. The pre-fabricated GRP bends allowed the alignment to navigate the required route without compromising the integrity of the jacking system.
