Ridgelea Branch Sewer Pipeline
CLIENT: South East Water – LOCATION: Ridgelea VIC AUSTRALIA
A new housing development named Ridgelea Estate, required connection to the existing sewer pipeline infrastructure. Connecting to the existing sewer pipeline would involve installing both Open Trench and Jacking Pipes to complete this connection, including Manhole Connectors and Pipe Bends.
The newly built Ridgelea Estate is located 57km southwest of Melbourne’s CBD. This new estate will accommodate thousands of new residents in this popular area, east of Packenham VIC.
The Ridgelea Branch Sewer project installed FIBERSTRONG™ GRP Jacking Pipe in the deeper sections of the project, up to 12m in depth. The Open Trench Pipe was used in the shallower sections – up to 6m in depth.
The Ridgelea sewer project required 1,434 metres of various sized FIBERSTRONG™ GRP Jacking and Open Trench Pipes for this sewer pipeline project consisting of 316 metres of DN300, SN10,000, PN1, Open Trench Pipe, 204 metres of DN300, OD324, SN640,000, PN1 and 914 metres of DN350, OD376, SN640,000, PN1 FIBERSTRONG™ GRP Jacking Pipe.
The head contractor that won this section of the project was All Areas Drainage and the Jacking Pipes were installed by Pezzimenti Trenchless.
Empire Infrastructure was privileged to work with Iplex Pipelines Australia to supply the FIBERSTRONG™ GRP pipes and fittings for this project. The pipe was manufactured in one of Future Pipe Industries (FPI) flagship factories in UAE to the highest of quality, in accordance with ISO and Australian Standards.
